Military tenor drum

Military tenor drum with wooden shell and wooden counterhoops, 18-inch skin heads, rope-tensioned with British style white leather braces (round edge, white, with vellum lace), and drag rope. The counterhoops have 8 drilled holes through which the tensioning rope passes. The batter head has 3 steel feet painted in red. Associated with the Auxiliary Territorial Service, the women's branch of the British Army during the Second World War.
