Herald trumpet
Presentation Herald Trumpet, silver plated, 1937. Single loop tube, brazed in four sections with brass binding and tonal shank to mouthpiece, impressed with maker’s initials; single brass triple knop at base of bell flare; reinforced bell edge; upper surface of bell engraved with regimental cypher, motto, 'Defence not Defiance', presentation inscription and maker’s name, Boosey and Hawkes Limited, London; red, yellow and blue silk cords with tassels. Presented to Calcutta Light Horse by Trumpet Maj Donald Duthie, 1937.
