Bass drum
Bass Drum, wood, 1905-1914; used by the 1st Battalion Royal Irish Regiment; front painted blue/ black with red borders, decorated in centre with royal arms, regimental name, motto and battle honours, and on edge maker’s name, George Potter and Co, Aldershot is painted in red; flesh hoops broken and twisted, drum heads torn on hoop fractures; thirteen cord holes with brass cord slides, painted blue outside with red edge and white worm, and white inside with red edge and blue worm; three ball legs on each hoop; brass ring pick up.
