Side drum, 1920 (c); brass; yellow painted front with decoration including royal arms painted in centre upon union flag and St George flag surmounted by gold scroll inscribed in black with regimental name, the whole above eleven gold scrolls inscribed with battle honours and to the right the maker’s name, Henry Potter and Co, London; flesh hoops and drum heads whole; nine cord holes with brass cord slides and white blancoed cord and buff slides; plaited drag rope; three ball legs on upper hoop, painted yellow outside with red edge and blue worm; used by the 1st Battalion York and Lancaster Regiment.
