Transverse flute in C
Side-blown, boxwood flute made in five sections (head, barrel, upper and middle joints, and foot joint), with eight pewter-plug-cup silver keys mounted in wooden blocks and foot joint stock bulge. The open-standing low C and C-sharp keys have overlapping touches. Flat springs attached to keys. Ivory cap and ferrules. Round embouchure hole. Conical bore. Nominal pitch: C. This instrument is part of the Albert C. Spencer collection.
