Flageolet
Duct flute of rosewood made in three sections (windcap, window-joint and main body), with ivory mouthpiece, nickel-silver ferrules and keywork. The form and fingering of the body suggests that this instrument may have had an extra head to be used as a piccolo flute. Six nickel-silver keys with saltspoon-cups mounted in wooden blocks. Flat springs attached to keys. Larger 5th fingerhole. Nominal pitch: C. This instrument is part of the Albert C. Spencer collection.
