Number of frets: 17 on the fingerboard. Technical description: The soundboard is made of wide grained coniferous wood (probably pine). The pin-bridge is made of ebony with mother-of-pearl dots on both sides and a saddle is carved out from the same block. The back is birds-eye maple and pine lamination with ebony and mother-of-pearl combination bindings on its edges. The sideboards are also birds-eye maple and are joined at the bottom with a triangular ebony piece inserted between them; an ebony end pin is mounted on its centre. The fingerboard is of ebony with metal T-shaped frets and an ivory nut. The neck is laminated with a thin piece of ebony, and as is the heel, which is attached to the head with a V-joint. The head has two metal tuning machines with ivory buttons and rollers. Decorative features: Black and white strips (ivory and ebony) inlays and ebony bindings on the edge, and a mother-of-pearl inlay around the soundhole. The identity of the actual maker is not known.
