Bagpipe drones
This is a set of 18th-century bagpipe drones showing very early bead and comb decoration. The drones are slim by modern standards and are probably made from a native hardwood e.g. laburnum or holly. The ring caps and bushes are made from bone, but the nickel ferrules appear to be a later edition.
