Oboe
Oboe made of cocus wood in three sections (top and middle body joints, and bell), with gold-plated ferrules and keywork. It has twenty-two cylinder-cup open keys (four ring keys) mounted in posts with rods, with flat and needles springs attached to keys or posts. Conical bore. The reed receiver is lined with nickel-silver. The socket joints are lined in gold-plated metal. There is a thumbrest screwed onto body. Nominal pitch: C.
