Clarinet in C
Clarinet made of flamed boxwood, in four sections (barrel, upper and lower joints, and bell), with ivory ferrules and brass keywork. It has twelve saltspoon-cup keys mounted in protruded knobs, lower stock bulge and brass saddles, with flat springs attached to keys, and cork paddings. There is a cross key for B3-flat/F5, and the throat A-flat key is straight. The mouthpiece is made of dark wood, with grooves for string ligature, and has a long tenon. The tenon joints are wrapped with thread. Nominal pitch: C.
