Yehu
This is a Chinese spike-bowl fiddle, whose resonator is made of a polished coconut shell with a thin wooden top. The instrument would have two pegs and there is a mark on the soundboard for a large bridge (probably a conch shell or a tightly-rolled cloth). There is a small light wood inlay on the neck finial, and there are two nylon strings attached to the bottom button. The bow, that would have been permanently attached to the instrument as the bow hair usually passes in between the two strings, is missing.
