Yueqin

The yueqin is a short-necked lute of the Han Chinese, which is popularly known as "moon qin" or "moon lute" because of the typical circular body that resembles a full moon. This instrument is constructed with a very short fretted neck and a circular-shaped box resonator. It has accommodation for four strings, but the pegs and strings are missing. The neck and soundboard have marks of ten frets, now all missing, which would probably have been made of bamboo.
