Beaters

These beaters ("mythimbe") were collected in the field by Antoinette and Diana Powell-Cotton, and are associated with a wooden slit drum ("tchinguvu") and the Gangela tribe. The beaters have large heads made of bark cloth wound with rattan, attached to wooden handles.
