Transverse flute

Side-blown flute made of rosewood in five sections (head, barrel, upper and middle joints, and foot joint), with nickel-silver ferrules and keywork. It has eight modern-style-cup keys mounted in posts with rods, with flat springs attached to keys. The head is lined with metal and has a nickel-silver lip-plate in sleeve form, with an oval embouchure hole, and a nickel-silver cap. Adjacent low C and low C-sharp touches. Nominal pitch: C
