Bass fanfare trumpet in G

This instrument is associated with the Royal Military School of Music. It is a bass fanfare trumpet made of silver-plated brass in two sections (valve section and bell section) joined through a metal threaded joint, with three piston valves, bottom-sprung, and one water-key located at the first bow. The second valve slide has a pull ring. The valves have cork bumpers and metal guides. The bell section has two small rings for a banner. Nominal pitch: G.
