Piccolo
This is a modern, side-blown piccolo flute, model no. YFL-62, made of African blackwood, in two sections (head and body), with silver-plated nickel-silver ferrules and keywork. It has thirteen closed keys with cylinder-cups, mounted in posts with rods affixed to plates, with needle and flat springs, and cork paddings. The head has a metal tuning slide with the body and an oval embouchure hole. The cap is made of wood, with metal threaded screw and bottom plate, and cork stopper. Nominal pitch: C.
