musical bow
Musical bow. The bow consists of a curved stick, slightly scraped but, for the most part, retaining its original bark. The string is a straightened length of twisted wire. The resonator is a dried fruit rind, attached by means of a twist of wire. The junction of the bow and the resonator is encircled by a ring of cloth bound with fibre. A metal spring, with hair inside, is attached to one end.
