Transverse flute
The second of a pair of transverse flutes, nominal pitch C. Probably violet wood. Eight joints, five of which are numbered alternate upper joints. Four ivory ferrules. One silver key, mounted on pivot carried through an ivory ferrule; no pivot bush. Flap, flat. Touchpiece roughly circular. The ivory ferrules are much wider than those of the first in the pair, the widths being 2.4, 2.25 and 3.0 cm at the joints and 0.75 cm at foot. Fixed ivory stopper, squared. Stamped: T. Lot (Rampant lion mark). With sharkskin case with silver fittings and tray to lift out. Green velvet lining.
