Keyed bugle
Keyed bugle. Copper body with brass keys, bell garland and mouthpipe. Six keys, saddle mounted, with round flat flaps and leaf springs. Third key from the bell has an arched holding saddle as part of the fitting. Key closest to bell (B natural key) has a bascule joint, although the touch end is missing. With tuning bit and mouthpiece. Tuning bit has ferrule at the mouthpiece receiver with a round finger plate at each side. Two copper ferrules join the tubing sections at each side of the front branch. A seam in the metal is visible along the underside of the bell. Bell garland is stamped: S. POTTER/20 King Street/WESTMINSTER
