Square pianoforte

Mahogany square piano by Adam Beyer (d.1804). Rectangular in shape with ebony and boxwood stringing to the top and six shaped brass hinges. Above the keyboard, the case is veneered with maplewood and inset with a satinwood nameboard inscribed 'Adam Beyer Londini Fecit 1773'. '69' inscribed inside the piano on the soundboard (back left). G'. A'-F''', 3 handstops. Later stand (?). Given to the National Trust by Mr Frank Brown, Bath.
