Grand pianoforte

Broadwood piano - long case on four turned legs. Mahogany case, tapered to back with curved right side. Stringing around top and sides, the latter with cross-band veneer on outside. Turned mahogany legs, knop above ebony rings, baluster leg and ebony in foot knop. Castor feet. Ring clip handles (3) under top, which is hinged and rises from curved side. Satinwood keyboard, inlaid oval inscribed John Broadwood & Sons. Makers to His Majesty and the Princesses. Great Pulteney Street, Golden Square, London. Six octaves. Serial number 5615. Date of manufacture 1812.
