Lyre guitar of Apollo Lyre, anon, c.1810. Open rose hole inlaid with mother-of-pearl, possibly originally containing a giltwood or papier-mache rose. Two extra sound holes, six strings. Sounding length 63cm. 'Lyre guitar or Apollo lyre, probably Spanish or Portuguese, 19th century' (M.Jessop)
