Bassoon

Bassoon by G. Astor (1801-40). c.1810. Stained maple with brass mounts, and eight brass keys, five broken. Crook missing. Plug in wing probably not original. Brass mounts one broken. Three bassoons recorded one bought from Oliver Smith and Co. 34 High Street Oxford, 10th May 1934 one antique bassoon £3, one from Fenton and Sons, 11 New Oxford Street London, 19th February 1917 and a third 'Bassoon from Hildersham Church Cambridgeshire 172.6d. (M.Jessup). Unsure which of these purchases relate to which bassoon.
