Frame drum
Single membrane frame drum. The frame constructed from a single length of wood, bent into a circle with the ends overlapping and secured by a pair of large iron nails. Goat skin membrane with hair visible on the surface overlapping the frame. The membrane is tied with a concealed cord. This is folded into the edge of the membrane, which is nailed to the rim with a row of straight wooden pegs. A pair of flat jingles is secured in a rectangular hole in the shell by a pin.
