Bandolim

Bandolim, a form of mandolin.The two-piece back and sides of highly figured wood. the table of spruce with inlaid stringing around the edge and the soundhole, which is encircled by triangles of mother of pearl and black mastic, the fingerboard of rosewood. Four double courses of strings, the two lower courses overwound wire, the two upper courses plain wire, tuned by machine heads. Fan-shaped tailpiece. Sounding length: 326mm..
