Harmonica

Double harmonica, mouth organ, Amati model. Steel body with stained wooden ends and inserts. Each side of the instrument has two rows of twenty-four blowholes, and two rows of fourteen soundholes on both the upper and lower steel plates. Stylised initials 'FH' are painted in silver on both wooden end sections. The upper plate is stamped: 'AMATI/Made by FRIEDR. HOTZ'. The lower plate is stamped: 'FRIED HOTZ ... ITL...' with four medals.Probably made in Knittlingen.
