Transverse flute. Boxwood. Five joints. Ivory end cap and ferrules. Nickel silver plated keys and tuning slide. Six keys, block mounted with pewter plugs. Brass sections set into mounts where key shanks lie. String lapped tenons. Barrel stamped: GOULDING/D'ALMAIN/POTTER & Co./SOHO-SQUARE/LONDON; with crest emblem directly above. Upper joint, lower joint and foot joint stamped: GOULDING & Co.
