Transverse flute. African blackwood (grenadilla). Three joints. Nickel silver-plated keys and ivory ferrules and end cap. Seven keys, block mounted with square flat flaps and leather pads. String lapped tenons. Head joint stamped: MONZANI & Co./LONDON; Body joint stamped: MONZANI/No. 24 DOVER St./LONDON/...; Foot joint stamped: MONZANI; A crown emblem appears above the head and body joint inscriptions and on every key flap.
