Clarinet. Nominal pitch: B flat. Boxwood body, ebony mouthpiece, ivory ferrules and six brass keys. Six pieces: mouthpiece, barrel, left hand joint, right hand joint, lower joint, bell. String lapped tenons. Keys are block mounted with square flat flaps and leather pads. Shake key on upper joint missing – hole has been plugged with cork. Mouthpiece is stamped: B.WOOD.FECIT; Left hand joint, right hand joint and lower joint are stamped: GOULDING &Co.; Bell is stamped: GOULDING & Co./LONDON
