Fiddle, rebab. Bought from a street musician who may have been a refugee from another ethnic group. He named this a rebab. Body carved from a single piece of wood, with a reptile skin soundtable. Four strings, three nylon and one of very thin steel. The sounding body is loosely packed with some sort of wool or wild cotton, affecting the tone.
