Spike fiddle
Rabab, spike fiddle. Oblong wooden box as resonator, covered with goatskin laced together at both sides. The bamboo neck bisects the resonator and projects as a spike on which the instrument rests. The horsehair string is attached to a piece of cloth secured to a string, which is tied to the wooden tuning peg.
