Whistle; vessel flute
Whistling toy, vessel flute with duct. The miniature ceramic jug, thrown on a wheel and unglazed, is of baluster form. A curved handle is attached between the shoulder and the upper rim. The spout is angled upwards from the shoulder at the opposite side. The end of the spout acts as the mouth hole and the mouth or window is positioned midway along the spout’s upper surface.
