Valve trombone
Description Valve trombone in Bb, short model. Brass . Three Périnet valves. Tuning slide on a short branch immediately after the valves. Slide receiver has a ferrule with threaded sleeves for a bolt tensioner on the side (bolt missing). Water key on bottom branch with helical spring under touch. Socket for music card holder on mouthpipe below valves. Tabbed seam and gusset visible on underside of bell. With silver plated mouthpiece, which has a deep, narrow cup and a broad flat lip. Bell has mechanically inscribed: THE STAINER MFG CO/LONDON; Valve casings are stamped: 1,2,3 respectively.
