Concertina
English-system concertina. Flat rosewood veneer ends, 6.63in/168mm across parallel sides. Simple floral fretwork. 48 buttons: 24 each side. Buttons are glass, flat-topped and bushed. Round-end steel reeds. Five-fold green leather bellows, gilt lined and embossed with gilt floral papers. Later black leather straps with nickel screws. Label on bellows paper: Rock Chidley, Musical Instrument Maker, 135 High Holborn, London WC; Serial number: 3895.
