Penny whistle
Tin whistle, duct flute, in C. The cylindrical metal pipe is painted red, with six finger holes of different sizes. The mouthpiece of moulded plastic is in the same shade of red. The mouthpiece has a long, flat beak, which is slightly tapered and has chamfered edges. The duct or windway is rectangular in cross section. The mouth is also part of the mouthpiece moulding. It is trapezium shaped, broadening towards the lower edge. A white circular paper label stuck to the upper section of the front of the body bears the printed inscription: 'C/PERRI/WHISTLE/Made in/Ireland'.
