English horn
Cor anglais, English horn. Straight 'moderne' model. Stained maple with silver plated keys and ferrules. Three joints, ferrules at the top of each joint and at the bell rim. The tenons are lapped with waxed black thread. There are nine keys, a half-hole plate and two cover-pates, which are hinged at the end. The keys are pillar mounted and have round, slightly domed flaps. The spring of B flat key missing and replaced with a needle spring. There are twin holes for left hand third finger (G/G sharp). Lowest note B natural. Stamped 'Brod'.
