Idioglot clarinet
Velang, transverse clarinet of two internodes of bamboo, with idioglot reed. Bamboo tube with two opened nodes at the top and middle. The distal end terminates in a flared opening, having been cut off close to a third node. The upcut integral reed near the proximal end has a square end and measures approximately 4 x 60 mm. Strings are tied round the body in two places, below the reed and near the distal end. Another short length of string is tied above the reed.
