Arched harp

Ryom, arched harp. The wooden resonator tapers towards the neck and is covered with leather stitched at a seam at the centre of the back. Seven strings are pegged from neck, some pegs are similar to the Ugandan arched harp, the "ennanga". The wooden string holder projects above the sound table. On either side of the string holder are metal rods. Attached to these are two copper rings that vibrate when the instrument is played, acting as buzzers.
