Cuckoo; ocarina
Cuckoo call, zoomorphic pottery ocarina in the form of a cuckoo. The tail forms the mouthpiece and has a flat end with an irregularly shaped mouth hole at its centre. There are two fingerholes, two on each side of the bird's back, and three holes with brown paper streamer inserted. The instrument has a plain oval base revealing the constituent clay to be a light brown colour.
