English-system concertina. Flat mahogany ends, 6in/152mm across parallel sides. Simple fretwork with pine backing. 48 ivory buttons with black accidentals, stamped. Round-end light brass reeds. Five-fold green leather bellows with gold scroll papers. One later brown leather strap, right-hand absent, brass pin probably later. Oval paper label: Latest Improved/Concertina/Nickolds and Co./Manufacturers/London; Serial number 8310.
