Concertina
Anglo-German system concertina. Flat, thick mahogany ends, 6.19in/157mm across parallel sides. 'J' and 'W' worked into right-hand end. Simple fretwork around tops of ends and under palms with red leather backing. 21 broad bone buttons: 10 each side + 1 air. Round-end brass reeds. Five-fold leather bellows with gold star papers. Later leather straps with later screws. Repairer's ink mark on action: Tamburro (B'ham) Nov. 1972; Oval yellow paper label: J Wallis, patent concertina, 135 Euston Road, NW London; Serial number 17583.
