ADAPTOR’; Two switches top centre, upper labelled: ‘VARIATION’; has four settings: ‘A’; ‘B’; ‘AB’; ‘fill-in’; lower labelled: ‘FILL-IN’; has three: ‘4’; ‘8’; ‘16’; Upper right dial gives six numbered rhythmic patterns for: ‘16 STEP’ [beat]; and two patterns for: ‘12 STEP’; Switch at centre labelled: ‘SOUND’; with four settings: ‘BD’ [bass drum]; ‘SD’ [side drum]; ‘HH’ [high hat]; ‘CYM’ [cymbal]; Painted label centre right: ‘Sound Master/MEMORY RHYTHM SR-88’; Switch bottom centre marked: ‘MODE’; with settings: ‘PLAY’; ‘WRITE’; Two square push buttons bottom right, left has semiquaver sign above and below: ‘START’; right has semiquaver rest sign above and below: ‘STOP’; Label beside foot switch socket: ‘When you stop the switch,/with the foot switch/connected, the memory/sometimes disappear’; Instructions on back for removing four U-3 batteries also states: ‘MEMORIZED DATA IS BACKED UP WITH/BATTERIES EVEN WHEN THE UNIT IS OPERATING WITH A.C.ADAPTOR/…MADE IN JAPAN’.
