Anglo-German system concertina. Flat rosewood ends, 6.25in/159mm across parallel sides. Frets at centre and bottom of ends with white cloth backing. White paper area on under-action, sealing base of levers. 23 broad, flat ivory buttons: left-hand 10 + 1 black accidental, right-hand 10 + 1 black accidental + 1 air; stamped 1-10 each side. Round-end brass reeds. Five-fold green leather bellows with gold star papers. Straps missing, brass screws. Oval paper label: Simpson, 266 Regent St, London. Improved Concertina; Serial number: 687.
