Duct flute
Duct flute. Wooden body with a conical bore tapering towards the distal end. The mouthpiece has a curved lower surface and tapered sides. The mouth is positioned below a turned ridge at the base of the mouthpiece. Seven fingerholes and one thumbhole, which is positioned directly beneath the top fingerhole. The diameter of the thumbhole is stepped, forming a wider opening on the outer surface than inside.
