Pottery Trumpet
Signalling trumpet. Terracotta throughout. Twice wound shape with the integral mouthpiece positioned adjacent, but at 90 degrees to the bell. Bore appears to be cylindrical until about half way along the bell stem. Mouthpiece has a conical cup and narrow lip. Pottery joins connect the branches together between the mouthpiece and the bell. White engobe decorative bands and crosses on the body and inside the bell.
