Baritone concertina. English system. Flat rosewood ends, 7.88in/200mm across parallel sides, with bevelled edges; simple frets with muslin backing. 48 buttons: 24 each side, silver capped metal, bushed. Round-end brass reeds with mountings for baffle remain on inner side of pans, baffle removed. Five-fold green leather bellows with large green/gold papers, deep frames to accommodate baffled pan. Black leather straps with nickel screws. Oval scalloped paper label: Patent concertina by George Case, Boosey & Ching, Holles St, London; Smaller typed label on left-hand with serial number: 3248
