Whistle; end blown flute
Whistle, end blown flute. The instrument consists of a single piece of ivory. It has a conical bore with a stopped distal end. An upper rim of elliptical section accommodates the round, flat central mouth hole. Beneath this is a section with two angled extensions for two fingerholes. The central body is carved in five sections with two wide flanges at the base flanking an area with circle and dot decoration. A length of twisted cord hangs from the bottom, on to which are threaded four rings, one of blue plastic, the other three of metal.
