Clarinet. Nominal pitch: A. Body of grenadilla (Dalbergia melanoxylon) with black plastic mouthpiece. Metal keywork and ferrules at each socket and beneath each tenon. Five pieces: mouthpiece, barrel, left hand joint, integral right hand and lower joint, and bell. Model number: YCLCX-A. Serial number: 1141. Boehm system. Cork lapped tenons. Metal ligature with two screw fasteners, reed, plastic reed cap, case fitted for two instruments, cork grease, polishing cloth, cleaning swab, owner's manual (a generic booklet of 22 pages covering all Yamaha clarinets), key oil and pair of case keys. Bought new in 1993.
