Reedpipe; cylindrical drum
Plastic toy incorporating a drum and squeaker (reedpipe). The toy is in the form of a a drummer, his body and hat in yellow plastic with the hat painted silver. A red plastic tube is attached at the back, emerging as a cylindrical drum at the front. The proximal end of the tube has a small plastic insert, which houses a metal percussion reed with a rounded end. The drummer's arms are formed from a single piece of metal wire, which is attached to a thread inside the body. The thread hangs out of the tubular opening at the bottom. When the thread is pulled the arms are raised above the drum head; they spring back to strike it through a mechanism using the tension of a rubber band.
