Anglo-German system concertina. Flat rosewood veneer ends, 6.38in/162mm across parallel sides, fully fretted. 21 plastic-topped wood buttons, glued onto levers: 10 each side + 1 air. Nickel reeds riveted onto zinc plates, two each end, under action. 5-fold green leather bellows with large gold star and small gold dot papers. Green leather straps, four brass eyelets, thin brass screws. In pencil on under action: 'JOURNET'. Oval paper label under left-hand end: 'HJ Journet, Manufacturer, 43 Tottenham Court Road, London'. Also stamped on left-hand and right-hand: 'H Journet.' Serial number: ends 9, action 17.
